Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's sons was born in Woodland Hills in the year 1956. Her father worked as a teacher and her mom was a stay-at-home mom. There are three brothers older than her: Michael Dennis and Kevin. From a young stage of life, McCormick enjoyed singing as well as dance. She would also perform puppet shows for kids in the community. When she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see whether McCormick was interested in getting involved in the industry of entertainment. McCormick's first big job was in 1964 which was when she appeared in a commercial on TV for Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. That same year, she starred in another commercial that aired on TV for the doll Chatty Cathy. After that, she was commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of the character It up and It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was among 1200 other children to play the oldest towheaded girl in The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed who were newlyweds with an unmarried family. The show ran for five seasons. In her book Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season, she was close to losing her virginity to her screen co-star and brother Barry Williams. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book, Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia and Finding My True Voice, that during season five of the show she almost lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. This timing wouldn't have worked for us, she told me.
